Spanish Potatoes' Tortilla

Potatoes' Tortilla, tortilla de patatas in Spanish, is an omelette made of essentially egg and potatoes.


The recipe I am sharing here is NOT a typical Spanish Tortilla. It's just another version of many out there. Despite of not being traditional one, it's definitely a delicious one. :D


INGREDIENTS

6 eggs2 Potatoes (big size)1 onion 1 green chili/pepperSaltPepperSpicesOil 
METHOD
Cut the potatoes, onion and green pepper in small thin pieces. 

On a wide pan, add a good amount of oil. When it starts getting hot, add potatoes, onion and green chili to it. Stir it often, don't let the mixture stick on the pan. 


Add salt and black pepper to it. For more taste, add some spices: tumeric powder, garam masala and red chili powder.  



Let it cook until the potato is well done. Keep stirring is when its a little extra done. Then, turn off the flame and let it cool.

Aside, in a bowl beat the eggs and some more spices.



Add the cool potato's mixture to the beaten eggs and mix it well.

Yellow Cake

This is the recipe of the plane cake which is usually available in the market in yellow color. You  need a simple cup at your home to measure all these quantities.

INGREDIENTES:

  • 1 cup of Sugar
  • 1/2 cup of Oil
  • 1 & 1/4 Cups of Flour
  • 2 Eggs -big size-
  • 1 & 1/4 tsp of Baking Powder
  • 1 tsp of Lemon Juice
  • 1/2 cup pf Milk
  • A pinch of Yellow cooking color

METHOD:

  1. First beat the eggs with the sugar till it's perfectly mixed. 
  2. Add the oil in it and keep beating.
  3. Now, add milk. Mix it well.
  4. It's time to put on the flour and bakingf powder. Now be carefull while beating the mixture.
  5. Finally, add in the lemon juice and the cooking color. In this part you ca also add any nut or the candied fruit.


Oil the baking dish and sprinkle a little bit of flour, very very little, so after baking it's easy to dish it out. Pour the mixture in it and leave it for baking for about 30 minutes on 180 ºC.

NOTE: A way of knowing if a cake is done is to insert a clean knife in it, if it comes out as clean as inserted that means the cake is done. But if while taking the knife out it comes out with the mixture sticked on it, then leave it for a little more while.
